Just 35 miles east of Sacramento, CA. Red Hawk has its own exit off of the Freeway and is a very beautiful, newer Casino that has an entire level of gambling area that is non-smoking. They host 6 restaurants and 4 bars with frequent live bands. My daughter commutes for about an hour, from our home, and loves her job as a Table Games dealer. Here is a story about her experience.

A night out is rare these days and I take whatever I can get, I’m really not too picky. The other day my husband needed to go to Rocklin to buy a tool and Thunder Valley Casino is about 10 minutes from there so I drove him to Rocklin and he offered me dinner out, and a few dollars to blow at the casino when he handed me a $100. bill I was overwhelmed and thinking that maybe I’d spend $50.00, and leave the place with a bonus, but I managed to play a couple of my favorite penny machines and walked away with $135.00 in my pocket. I was happy. A sad situation is a person that cannot control spending, here help is offered.
Thunder Valley Casino does have a Luxury Hotel, with rooms starting around $150.00, 5 unique bars, 14 restaurants, and a spa. They have an award-winning walk-up pastry case, at the Thunder Cafe that features American and French pastries, this being my favorite place to eat of course. Thunder Valley is a very spacious Casino with 3,000 slot machines; They are located right off the 65 freeway in Sacramento, close to San Francisco, but head east towards Lake Tahoe.

Located about 20 minutes from our home in Galt, Jackson Rancheria is a short trip when we’ve gone with friends for dinner and a relaxing drive. Jackson Rancheria has a nice hotel and a spacious casino, and an RV park, also valet parking, 49 gaming tables, and 1,500 slots. They are open 24 hours a day, and a player can be 18 to play, there is no alcohol served, but they offer free hot or cold mochas at any time, yum, and my favorite. They do get really crowded and we don’t usually stay very long. Up the escalator is a fantastic restaurant, Raging Rivers, winner of Best of San Joaquin county magazine in 2010. Raging Rivers restaurant has a full buffet with all you can eat specials.
